Personally, I'm on the fence about him. I wanna be cautiously optimistic, but if he does end up being a Romney then it's not the end of the world. The BIG part that everyone ignores about VA, is that the ENTIRE STATE flipped red for the first time in 15 years. Yeah, the uniparty might have gotten a RINO in there with Youngkin, but the LT Governor is absolutely based. Likewise, the Attorney General fiipped to a republican, and possibly most importantly, the state senate and house flipped completely red.
You might be able to write off the "big" offices as uniparty appointments, but the senate and house were filled with candidates handpicked by the VA Project using grassroots methods. Lookin at the big picture, you can't call VA anything but a massive win, even if the new Governor turns out to be a RINO.
