I'd first give a tenth to a good cause (not a charity, nearly all are money laundering operations) as a tithe. I'd probably scout some things out first.
Then I'd take the rest and start a school that teaches trade crafts to young adults. Kind of like one of those innovation academies but instead of science, mechanics, and technology we would teach everything from crochet, cooking, knots, herbal medicine, woodworking, metalworking, farming, etc. but with minimal use of power tools. Chemistry would be there, but limited to what can be done using what is available in any typical grocery store or in nature.
The goal would be to prepare students on how to think and create using their own energy. Not exactly for wildlife-survival but rather for teaching them what they alone, as a single source of energy, can create.
It’s funny I posted this as an office space joke but since we’re getting real with it, id like to start buying up some poverty stricken areas and start creating a sort of halfway housing program for homeless vets that focuses on rehabilitation and getting them back up on their feet and feeling like they matter again. I’d find a way to force the government to use some of their tax money to finally take care of their own people and use it as a springboard to help other groups later on.
The emphasis on poverty stricken was more meant as a way of saying to take a shit area and make an attempt to improve it along with the lives of the vets… more I think about it, it could be a co-op of sorts -> bring them in with the incentive that they can reap the reward if the house were to sell or gain equity in it to help jumpstart their lives through improving their surroundings
