Hugs all around, one friend’s husband gave me a taste of his home brew beer out of the same glass, kids running around unmasked and getting into the food...good old fashioned American fun.

Honestly, the "true culture" would be generally not knowing one way or another. At most it wouldn't be something you would hold against someone, perhaps some sympathies for the ailments.
