I was married to an atheist. Since his family is catholic he put on a good show. As time went on I found he lies, cheats, steals and has no regard for anyone but himself. When I went aside to pray he would mock me. I finally realized I couldnt live with a man who lied about the littlest things... there was no point in even talking because nothing was true. Anything we consider as sins or just wrong was ok if he did it.

As per what they believe in or worship at least in this case he believed in and worshipped himself only.
