I've been dabbling in Linux for about 5 years. Sometimes it's great. Sometimes it's catastrophically bad. I recommend having 2 computers running different distros for when one inevitably and inexplicably stops working.
Old school techie here .... started operating mainframes in 1973 ... no screen ... had to use teletype:)) 6 of my 7 computers run Ubuntu Zorin. Very stable, runs great, windows like interface.

Are these user friendly for the uninitiated? Will a person with little technological knowledge or talent be able to load and use these os?
