I can understand the first part of your response, but have no idea how it could have great historical significance to ancient civs. What civilizations? What time period?
Watch this documentary about the Mound Builder religion, and pay special attention to what it says about water, and what it says about the Milky Way, which was considered the "Path of Souls"
Aztalan is one, and the Mound Builders believed that Racine and Southeast Wisconsin are the gateway to the Path of Souls through Orion and the center of the Milky Way. Racine sits between Aztalan and Carthage College. What is the history of Aztalan, and what is the history of Carthage?
Huh. I was unaware that Aztalan had been definitively located. Always figured it was pretty far south. I would say that both of those places are well known for child sacrifice.

Southeastern Wisconsin is where the center of the Milky Way galaxy glides over the horizon. Wind Point in Racine is the farthest point of land extending into the Great Lakes in Southeastern Wisconsin.
This is the Point and Place where the largest source of fresh water on earth meets the center of the galaxy.
Thanks, I’ll check it out
