Began feeling bad a few days before Xmas. Body aches, chills, migraine, congestion, swollen glands, which all now have cleared up since last Monday. Now I have been dealing with the congestion and it's slows my breathing. It feels better when I can get the phlegm out.
Meds taken: First five days ivermectin, followed up with another dose on day 7. Zinc, vitamin c, d, quercetin, NAC, thermaflu.
Did a teledoc session last night and was prescribed an antibiotic for bacteria sinus infection.
Appetit is non-existent, with consuming a piece of fruit or two a day.
My wife had similar symptoms which started a couple of days after mine. She is now almost 100%.
Thanks for starting this thread, and here’s my story. If anyone has any suggestions or helpful hints….
Wife and I have been horribly sick the night we returned from a small vacation. I’m pretty certain we caught it from some friends who were just recovering from the flu (unknown if COVID). The first night we hung out with them I could feel my throat tingling so I took 24 mg of Ivermectin and within a few hours my symptoms were gone. The mistake I made was not continuing the Ivermectin - I thought I was going to be free and clear of it, as I’ve been fortunate enough three times previously in fighting off similar infections by just taking one dose of Ivermectin. My wife is not a solid believer in Ivermectin, as she’s taken it a few times before and didn’t think it helped her as she’s been struggling with sinus and throat ailments from constant mask wearing (“required” for work, although she complies just enough to keep her bosses off her back). She’s probably been dealing with bacterial and not viral infections.
Over the next several days my wife was getting sicker and sicker while I was doing just fine. During this time we were also taking our supplements (D3, Quercetin, NAC, C, etc.,) so I mistakenly thought I was going to escape another viral infection just like the previous episodes. By the last day of our vacation, my wife seemed to be doing better and we visited our friends a second time (in the interim both had relapses, isolated themselves, and thought they had recovered again), as we assumed we were okay to socialize with them again.
By the following morning my wife was sick again, and I could feel the flu coming on. By the time we got home later that night we were both terribly sick.
Both of us started on the Zelenko Protocol right away. Unfortunately… it hasn’t really had the effect I thought it would, meaning our recovery has been going slower than anticipated. I think the biggest difference in my recovery over the last two days is that I added HCQ and large doses of antibiotics to the mix, as my wife was pretty sure she was getting strep throat, too. (One HUGE side benefit of taking the HCQ, which I had completely forgotten about, is that it has anti-inflammatory properties. I threw my lower back out just a few days before the vacation and I’d been in constant pain since then. One dose of the HCQ and about 80% of the pain was gone!!)
Yesterday we could both feel ourselves getting better but then both of us had a relapse and we thought we were back to Square One. Just before going to bed last night I took more Ivermectin, HCQ, antibiotics, and chased it with some NyQuil. When I woke up this morning I felt like a Million Dollars!! (Joe Biden dollars, so not as great as it could be.).
During the past six days we’ve had ZERO appetite and it’s been difficult to eat anything. On top of that, anything we’ve eaten has gone right through us, so it’s been hard to keep up on our nutrition. (Finally took some Pepto Bismal last night to slow things down). The worst of our symptoms, though, has been the extreme tiredness and fatigue. Just getting up to eat something has been exhausting.
Once I’m well enough to get to a store I’m going to buy a couple of COVID test kits (QuickVue) to see what they say. I’m doing this mostly out of curiosity, but it might be something that I can use at work if the bosses start asking questions. These are the same test kits they’re using on us weekly at work, as I’m the lone “un-vaxxed” holdout in my office. I’m pretty sure we don’t have “COVID” but rather the flu or a stomach virus.
Thanks for reading, and if you have any suggestions beyond what’s already been stated, please feel free to share. This Board has been a cornucopia of useful information, and it’s been a blessing to share this space with you. God Bless!
