I lost my persimmon & pear trees to hurricane RITA ...sad because they were planted /grafted by my Paw Paw. We still have 7 Pecan Trees, a fig tree as big as a double garage, 2 other small figs, 2 key limes, Meyer lemon, pomegranate and an olive tree and live in the home he built with his own hands in the 30's. I feel blessed because for me family is everything. Take care fren!!
Yes...he was a wonderful gardener! I used to tease him him that he had the soil in his veins instead of blood. He was a beekeeper also but I was too afraid of them. Just wished I had him teach me how to graft trees. I thought I have him forever. π
I'm sorry you had an "interesting upbringing", but you sure seem to have turned a negative into a positive. You have a great outlook and deep relationship with our Father.
