Best way to get a dog to stop biting you... don't pull away from it. Cram your hand down its throat. Gag reflex kicks in and it will do everything it can to get you out of its mouth. Never offer up your forearm because that long bone won't fit. Punch it in the tongue when it opens it mouth to bite you. Reach right down its throat. I'm talking grab its neck and push your balled up fist all the way to the stomach. If for some reason it doesn't let go or you won't allow it to pull away... it will choke to death.
Sounds crazy but I watched a guy do this one day. Funniest thing I've ever seen in a dog fight. He got bit sure, but it was a quick... dog bit into his forearm then 2 seconds in it let go and fought with all its strength to back away and let go. Mouth wide, total panic mode. It wouldn't come back at him either. Spooked the dog. Like drowning. It viewed him as dangerous like deep water.
I agree though. I'll never understand why people just allow dogs to tear them up like that. IMHO it should be considered lethal force to turn a dog lose on a person like that. It should only happen under certain direct threat situations.
Ooh, ooh, I’ve got that one. Having been a dog breeder for a decade, followed by another 12 yrs as a dog resort owner and a groomer for six of those years, and having written 17 educational articles on dog care, which all got published, I consider myself somewhat of an authority on dogs.
We socialized dogs in groups (not by size, but by compatibility up to 20 & I had to be ready willing and able to break up fights and attacks the second they started. A handful of times I had to jump in with full body tackles and when you grab a dogs scruff of the neck, flip them on their back and hold them down, it only takes a minute or less to gain submission, thus ending the problem. I also had to hold several mouths shut .
Set the dog on me and it's dead.
Nah, i don't care if you think it's a police officer.
I have authority over animals, and i ain't taking any bs from lawless police now who are 'just following orders' now in this lawless time.
Frankly, I have authority over anything that tries to take my life.
Exactly
