Jesus taught a lot about the Church and in fact did not anticipate an ongoing movement/dispersement of his teaching without a Church. In the Greek his teachings often addressed "you" in the plural for one thing, and secondly much of his ethical teachings had exactly to do with how his followers would treat one another and practice their faith together.
So no, church is not an option. It's assumed. If you're talking about the Jesus of the New Testament, of course.
Even prayer is not completely individual. The ONE time Jesus was asked to teach how to pray, he begins with "OUR Father". A community of faith, not individual isolated spirit warriors or whatever you're getting at.
