No. I've attended off and on for several years. Given the current state of the church I've lost desire. I can walk outside the front door and feel the presence of God for free. As far as based, the jury is still out on that.
I love to go into our local wood and just be still, pray and praise and give God the glory. His creation is much more uplifting than any organised Christian entertainment. Found Dr Randall Smith on YT - excellent Bible teacher, has great insight. Other than that, daily Bible readings are enough to feed me.
Yes I attend to church every week. Sometimes twice a week. It makes a huge difference going in person. There are times when I watch on TV, but it’s just not the same. Being there in person for the worship, makes it all worthwhile. Also our church has coffee and donuts afterwards, so you get to meet people and talk with them and learn about their testimonies and stories about their lives. I think it’s extremely important to have interaction with human beings who have the same beliefs system as you, because it builds you up, it builds up the family of Christ.
I spent several months at a time in Hawaii at a family‘s house. I have a full-blown Christian family there. Go to church twice a week, and have a women’s Bible study on Thursday night. There’s about 20 ladies that show up each week. It’s in a huge Hawaiian house, we have music and a teaching and we eat. It’s such a joy to be together with other women that believe in the Lord, and we pray for one another and share each other‘s burdens and Joys
Because of the laid-back community there, and the overall feeling of a smaller community, I feel I have more of a Christian family there than I do in my own home state.
If anyone is sitting on the fence regarding going to in person church, I highly recommend going. But it should be a Bible believing church, one that teaches from the Bible, chapter by chapter, verse by verse. Topicals are great, but topicals always allow for a pastor to avoid uncomfortable subjects. If you’re learning the Bible chapter by chapter, verse by verse, you have to learn about everything. Not just what’s comfortable. Yes there are somethings uncomfortable in the Bible, but that’s what helps us grow.
No. Got thrown out of one decades ago for questioning the fake Toronto Blessing Laughing Revival. Not been back since, not found a Spirit led church with true born again believers. Only nominal "Christian" social clubs. Never looked back.
In all matters we talk about here such as the vax, the great reset and the pope, they are utterly clueless. I try to introduce ideas to them, but not so much as to cause offence.
They are great people, but totally institutionalised.

You are very blessed to have found one. Few and far between.

Locally we don’t have one. Nice thing about online honestly although it’s not the same.
