He’s heartbroken. I told him to find new friends. These people suck.

hang on, the 3 involved are little boys? and the term used is "play dates"? my lord
Yes in NY that’s what it’s called when they are young. When they are a little older it becomes “hanging out”.
sounds like NY is a den of depravity and needs to vanish. play dates hahaha I can't stop laughing
I'm guessing you don't have kids. It's a thing, and simply is a term used for what happens when one kid goes over another kid's house to do stuff together. If you don't live in a neighborhood and you want your kid to have friends, travel and scheduling is required.
I absolutely have children, I live in the Northeast... I will not allow homosexual terminology in my household. therefore my sons have never been on a "play date"... turn off your electric rabbi's and social media, your mind has been poisoned which in turn is corrupting your child.
It’s very common. Calm down patriot. Don’t beat up on this conservative mother over dumb terminology.
so because its common, i should accept it? well homosexuality, transgenderism, pedophilia, and interracial relationships have become common... should i accept these as well? i draw the line
In the northeast this is the term used for young kids to arrange to play with a classmate or someone from the neighborhood...has been a term since my daughter was young and that was a few years ago now.

Yup - not used everywhere but is very common in many areas of the country.
Not every "interesting" term denotes something perverse. As the old saying goes, "sometimes a spade is (just) a spade".
