The thing about this video is this... He says this can be seen after the water evaporates. Isn't there a good chance this is some form of crystallization like you would see if salt water evaporates? It would explain perfect corners. Also, at 1200 magnification, that means this thing is pretty big. To me, it looks like crystallization. I could be wrong, and it could be whatever he thinks it is, I'm just sharing my thoughts.
