Seems like this could be used as a precedent for arrested partakers/"Johns" of prostitutes to avoid prosecution. Years ago I remember some places would actually publish the names of men who were caught soliciting prostitutes in the newspapers.
And years ago, the prostitutes amd victims were the ones who were arrested and spent time in jail where the pimps and traffickers went free and weren’t bothered by the police

This. Does the law target the one supplying or those demanding? Is X illegal and/or is the purchase of X illegal?
