They are trying to build a new internet based off secure meshnet and distributed tech, so you can have your own blockchain with your feeds or videos, webserver etc. Kinda like tor and torrents but more secure and faster.

Skycoin came about because they wanted to fix all the issues with bitcoin and ETH and they realized that it needs it own secure network. Its a pretty old project they came about around when LTC was first around and really well funded so have been constantly developing load of cool tech but don't have much in the way of marketing but always working on a bunch of things, currently they have their meshnet, vpn, hardware wallets, CX full programing language, designing their own antennas and chips and a NAS too, but the chip shortage is causing some problems at the moment.

They still have work to do but want to give the world a Internet that you control and currently the meshnet has 8000k nodes running.
