He laid the bait for the msm because they are starving for higher ratings and they all know Trump is the only thing that can get their ratings up, even if only for a single day. They desperately need it so they went after the bait. Trump knows they need him to increase their ratings so he gladly dangled that carrot in front of their faces, and when he saw that all the msm leaped for the carrot he pulled the string and took it away, making them all look like fools and waste energy for nothing.
