That's probably the core issue. Without inner monologue, stands to reason one would be more inclined to follow authority figures.

I would focus on mental imaging through exercises. Child games like 'memory' or 'shell games'. Learn them now so you can train your future kids. Also, if there was a website that would flash an image up for a split second and ask you what it was, that would be ideal.
