Pseudo-pandemic is the more appropriate phrasing. (There is a great book by this name written by Iain Davis worth reading - https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/58467435-pseudopandemic)
Critical thinking is clearly in short supply, not a given for humanity at large, and therefore constitutes a “super power” when applied at a species-wide distribution level.
