My surprise was Parmalat. I stocked up just to be prepared but it's really come in handy when we ran out of milk and couldn't make it to the store for some reason or another. Not too bad at all.
Six can tortilla soup is surprisingly good. Shelf stable summer sausage chopped up and cooked with Zatarain's red beans and rice is also a winner. You can also boil a can of condensed milk and turn it into dulce de leche. Good options for camping too. Spaghetti sauce and pasta are good as well. Multiple cans of ro-tel and bottles of hot sauce are a big help for bland food.
It's certainly not good for keto or anything like that but some recipes are pretty creative and they include food that is low in cost and much cheaper than patriot supply, etc. I'd still stay away form powdered milk. Didn't find a decent one in the bunch - Parmalat is surprisingly ok.
