I didn't realize how bad it was until I stepped outside and looked up. I saw a sky that looked as if someone was playing tic-tac-toe. Then the weather turned ugly and tornadoes spun out of control. I live in Kentucky in case you don't know. So I know now that when I see our skies looking that bad, it's time to duck for cover somewhere. God bless and I pray that everything is okay for you and yours.
Thanks. I said the same thing that night the tornado hit Mayfield Ky about 65 miles to the west of me, and then Dawson Springs about 20 miles to the east of me. They went on both sides of me so I consider us lucky. I live between 3 pretty good size hills and I know that doesn't stop anything, but most of the time a tornado prefers travelling on flat ground. Also, about a few weeks later, a tornado suddenly appeared, (a downburst) dropped down and wiped out a section of 9th street in downtown Hopkinsville which isn't far from me. It looked like a war zone when I finally drove through and saw it. So I consider myself blessed because the good Lord has watched out for my family during these trying times. God bless you my friend.
Don’t underestimate those hills??! Seriously. Yeah my new SIL’s whole family lives in Mayfield. Luckily all ok. I took em a load of supplies the day after 💕👍🏽
Thank you Mary…after a career in Aerospace you have no idea how this infuriates me! 😡
