What's interesting to me is they used to have those zicam nose swabs. But they got pulled because they were causing people to lose their sense of smell. Some was permanent. When they first announced that was a symptom of covid, it reminded me of that.
I wonder if they pulled them because they worked too well? People who lost smell were abusing them like using 10 in a day and didn't follow the instructions on how to use them.
Huh...I didn't realize people who were abusing them or not following instructions were the ones having issues.
The lozenges don't cause that issue, even if someone takes more than recommended. I wonder if it has to do with the way it's absorbed? Nasal passages vs orally?
And that makes me question the COVID nasal swabs even more.
Yup, people were over using them so they (so they say) got pulled off the market. Supposedly they worked very well against the cold (corona virus) and I've know people to use them and say it cut cold time in half. I never tried them but just take Zinc in pill form.
Well, I had some and used them back around the time they were talking about people losing their sense of smell. I don't remember noticing much of a difference for the few I used, but I switched to the dissolving kind. I got too afraid to use the nose ones. They were in the medicine cabinet for years, but I looked and don't see them. I must have thrown them out at some point.
Now, I just take zinc and Quercetin and vitamins C and D, which seems to help a lot
