Maybe I am losing my faith in other people. At this point if you can't see it how can I trust you?

It is a good rule of thumb & when it comes to thier rational judgment ability, it almost always works.
That said, there are multiple types of trust. I still have cousins who wear them & I certainly trust them in family settings since I can still have rational discussions & they bring evidence why they believe their views. I believe their evidence is fabricated by someone who has decieved them & we can often agree we love each other too much to allow things to go off the deep end for each other. We even joked about hiding each other Anne Frank style of needed. Luckily for most of my family we can all love each other & disagree on major points because we know that each of us sincerely have what is best for us at the core of our hearts & would rather be good in the eyes of God if we all ended up dying in stubbornness.
I pray more families can develop those types of relationships.
Another note, the cousins who still do wear masks, half of their siblings refuse to wear them. So that dynamic plays a part for sure.
