It is a legit thing that happens even non-vax. Guy I went to HS with got it @ 6-7 years ago and was completely paralyzed; after relearning how to do literally everything he became a motivational speaker and Christian preacher

No this happened to him at age 35 or thereabouts...iirc after a bout with the flu or whatever. I'm not sure on specifics but we've been out of HS a LONG ASS time lol
