Get it while employed at Walmart. Daughters’ roommate didn’t feel like usual Saturday. Took a test at work. Tested positive for Coof. Walmart said “Go home and quarantine for 3 weeks”! Oh and we’ll pay you!!!! Anyone know if any other companies doing this? And he’ll enjoy his 3 weeks vacation cause daughter gave him some of her HCQ she takes for RA and by Sunday night he’s feeling like his old self. Now off work for 3 wks paid and feeling fine!

Walmart said that through March 31 it will provide paid time off (aka use YOUR vacation time) for employees who are mandated to quarantine by a health-care provider, government or Walmart or if they fail a health screening or test positive for Covid. It said employees who qualify will be paid for one week.

They probably don’t make corporate or executives use vacation.

My employer pays for ten days off work
Mine still does the 14. But actually getting paid for it usually requires filing a grievance, as mgmt & payroll are notorious for not coding the covid pay.
A company a friend works at is paying you to stay out if you were exposed at work. If you are exposed out of work you don’t get paid. If a person is around a person at work that test positive they go out of work with pay. They can get tested in 3-4 days. He was just out since last week. He worked Wednesday & was told to test on Sunday. He tested Monday because the testing place isn’t open on weekends. He was negative & went back today. If he tested positive they usually make you go out for at least three weeks. They had so many out after people came back after News Years it’s basically shut them down. His department works on machine can work If they don’t have enough people to run lines his job works on repairs. Some people he works with went to drugstores for testing instead of hospital owned. Those people still don’t have results. Some were tested the end of last week. This week they told people out with Covid, if they are negative and don’t have symptoms to come back. I guess following the Gov rules is hurting them! If you aren’t putting out products you aren’t making money. I won’t give name of the company for privacy. (You never know who’s reading on here.) It’s headquarters are not in USA. This has been the procedure since the beginning. I think this is his third time being out because he was with in so many feet of the person that’s positive.
Government stopped paying for 2 weeks awhile ago. Guy I call on for work just had it and his time off was unpaid beyond vacation
