I suppose it was because he was going to offer to ride with me on the lift since we were both in the singles line for the chair lift up the mountain. I had my headphones in and wasn't paying attention but this local guy behind me tapped me with his ski pole and mouthed "are you vaccinated?'' .....
First off Im from Texas and I had not prepared to be asked this stupid ass question.
I proceeded to tell this asshat that it was none of his business and then asked him if he had herpes???
He quickly said Fuck you and backed away from me. From which time I gave him the bird and got on the chair lift by myself.
Hopefully he learned not to ask stupid questions.
Not bad on the mountain, but signs freaking everywhere. Id say 70% of people were cool/happy and the other 30% were just gloomy, depressed, confused, and angry
Went skiing last year and ended up screaming at one of the lift line workers that kept bothering me. A couple hundred people heard me, 1 or 2 clapped, the rest looked like they wanted to hide.
Last year was a lot worse, for sure. People on the mountain didn't care this year thank GOD. Even the hotel I stayed at was awesome and didnt say anything to me without a mask despite the signs everywhere. It was only the stores and small shops that were Nazis about masks. So I didnt do any shopping with the small businesses in town really. Im just now realizing the small businesses I did shop with were based and were open about not being in line with the Covidiots. I bet that is going to be the final outcome for small businesses around the country. THE BASED WILL SURVIVE.
I was thrown out of a shop while visiting family last week, which I took as a badge of honor. I didn't think of it then, but if I'm confronted again I'm going to say "Happy Bankruptcy!" on the way out.
Thanks for your summary, it is a relief to think I might be able to ski this winter. I'll be going East Coast. Maybe NY or NH, don't think I'll try VT.
