I would only guess that it might help support your argument if there is a lawsuit.
On the negative side it's basically arguing the federal money can be used to force compliance (it shouldn't but thats what they are setting a precedence for).
On the positive side it's forcing them to allow for religious exemptions, which when the military allows for zero exemptions is clearly not abiding by the law.
Unfortunately military has always operated differently than civilian businesses so I doubt it will have an effect. They give cocktails of everything imaginable, and then they tack on extras for overseas deployments (like for SARS). I personally know of a few discharges that were handed out, and a few other people I know are now waiting for theirs still bc their religious accomodations were denied. Makes me sick.
