I got rid of them several years ago. Saved a lot of money and haven't missed anything. If you have a smart tv and/or a Roku device, you can get more channels and less garbage channels than you ever got on Directv and not pay a penny. If you do pay for any, they're just a few bucks a month and you're not paying for useless channels you never watch.
With streaming, there's really no reason to pay for Directv or cable.
I already did what you suggest. Couldnt be happier....and more $$$ in my pocket.
Amazing to me that I was spending that much money for a handful of lame channels. We get so much more at no cost and don't have to worry about losing reception every time it rains or snows. Same with Netflix. I canceled them when they hired the Obamas. No loss whatsoever. Actually, I wouldn't watch a new movie now for any reason. Hollywood is an abomination.
