Right after that the floodgates opened, news started seeping into main stream and the SCOTUS struck down the mandates.

So what do you all think will happen now that Trump has seemingly moved away from 2020 ?

They didn't change the rules for FDR, they changed the constitution, because he was elected to third and then fourth terms, to limit presidential terms.
