Ophthalmologist are full on eye doctors but won't help with glasses or contacts.
Optometrist is like a hybrid of Optician & Ophthalmologist and who people usually go to.
Correct. The excitement got to me. Actually, it is opticians in the UK.
Of these professionals, very few look for or treat functional vision issues such as how the eyes work together- which in fact cause most of the common problems (headaches fatigue, reading difficulties). If you ask why, answers have to do with the quantity of lenses sold vs the quality of care involving specific exercise. All in the name of fast $. Sick.
