I'm certain there are people intentionally injecting ideas here to discredit the community.
I've read quite a bit on it and people listening to ascended masters and other stuff all seems very non-biblical
I am open to having my mind changed. I have seen signs from God in my life but they were typically not simply numeric
Bill cooper's take was that the new age was all a part of the mystery Babylon type religion. Ascended masters, man can become God, etc. And having read much masonic and rosicrucian literature I would tend to agree.
Although, the non-canonical books of the Bible have many things in them we would see as new age. Reincarnation etc.
I just try to use my own discernment as best I know how. When my ex wife was using Angel cards to decide what to do and getting hypnosis to find her ascended master guardian was named Seth, I kinda got a bad vibe. Especially when Seth/Set in the Egyptian mythology was always the bad guy, altho the Biblical Seth was the very headwaters of the line of Christ
