The hostage situation in Texas didn't go as they planned.

I think last nights FF was put in place to use as a distraction if President Trump tried to blow the lid off last night. When he didnt, the situation in Texas was resolved with remarkable timing. Just as the rally ended so did the hostage situation. It may have been far worse if President Trump had said something truly revealing.
