I often cringe at things Joe says, for example his naively optimistic views on certain topics, but sometimes I also think he says those things because that's his little way of not appearing too "extreme" so as not to alienate his moderate audience. However, he allows his guests to say whatever they want and that's what's most important.

Joe's move to Spotify was incredibly well timed and well calculated. I seem to recall him putting a clause in the contract that more or less prevented Spotify from censoring him in any way. He was already dealing with YT's BS by then but I believe he did it because he knew this day would come where he would officially be recognized as the most powerful face in media and eventually the cancel culture mob would come for him.
