Of course they do.

Conservatives and Populists believe our opponents are people with bad ideas.

Liberals believe we are bad people with ideas.

It is a fundamental truth. They don't want to argue about policies or ideas with us. We are just simply defective people in their minds. So of course they want to eliminate us.
