I feel for you. But I would not get that vaxx for ANY REASON. It could be a regret the rest of your life. Get your passport you never know when policies could change, but if you think they have, don't take only a verbal word for it. Get proof. Good luck, fren.
I still have pain in my right ear and a ringing when its quiet. I have occasional loud ringing in my ears but it does not last long. I was getting twitching in my cheek today But that has stopped and might not have been from the stroke poke, but it had me a bit worried.
If you have never had a passport you will need to pay for expedited service in the hope you get it in time. Just had mine renewed and it took 4 months.
As for the shot, that's a personal decision only you can make. I've been to Spain and Portugal. Beautiful places.
The choice is not merely between the mRNA injections or nothing. Another option would be to get the Novavax vaccine. This is a safer, protein subunit technology that so far has turned in a much better safety record. This vaccine is approved in the EU so even if it is not approved in the U.S. in time, you could go to Spain and get it. If you dose up on NAC, Glycine, and Vitamin C before you get this shot, these nutrients will rapidly disrupt and clear the spike protein in the Novavax shot. This is probably the least bad option if you decide to go ahead and get vaccinated.
Try to delay it as long as possible, and if your work is not amenable, then reschedule it at the last minute due to a "death in the family," which is more and more plausible these days - no one will question it.
The problem with Spain is I believe they fine anyone trying to use a vax pass that is not verifiable using the manufacturer's lists of lots. Only a few blue cities do that here in the US.
Don't sell your soul to the devil!
job I love vs gambling with my life. This is your choice.

Russian Roulette
RR everyday. Nothing is worth taking it. Unless you’re suicidal.
So you have a decision to make.
This sort of thing will affect my family very soon also.
I wish all the best for you, fren.
You aren't alone. It is happening to so many people.
My work and government forced me to take it and I got bells palsy for a few days after the first one. Skip the trip if you have to take the clot shot.
Are you back to normal now?
