If I understand correctly, they're only legally required to keep records of election data for 22 months. Which would put this september as the concrete end point of anything to do with the election. Meaning, all of this stuff that's been coming out of Wisconsin, Georgia, etc. lately is going to REALLY ramp up soon if anything's actually going to be done.

Record keeping I believe. There is nothing that says they cant be preserved for ongoing criminal investigations though. Thats if you even trust after 14 months what records do exist are valid and accurate.
