As someone who was a Democrat myself in another lifetime, maybe he thinks he can save the party because he still thinks there is something worth saving. Maybe he thinks he can turn the Democrat party back into the party of JFK.
No, I’m not a big JFK guy, he had some tendencies that I didn’t really like, I thought he was too far to the left, etc. But you know what? He loved his country. I don’t know, I’m just grasping at straws here, other than trying to save his party I can’t think of any reason why he hasn’t switched.
Could be local party machine politics.
Any President that wanted to disban the Fed is ok by me.
I wonder if they looked into how many Conservative Democrat votes he gets, and how many he would lose if he changes parties. He may be more valuable where he is at. And possibly, he may get other Dems who are on the fence to brave up and follow him. Could be a tactic. Especially as things are falling apart. Rats love to leave a sinking ship. Who knows?
