I also think this is a distraction. It is a new tool that can be used for good or evil, just like the internet and this site! It adds complexity but not evil and suffering.

It's exactly the same argument liberals make when they say the gun killed the person. NO! One person killed another by shooting him with his gun!

The TV/Internet/Metaverse doesn't manipulate/control you, evil people using these mediums as tools are the ones manipulating and controlling you.
