It amazes me how the Secretary of State can basically write whatever number he or she wants and submit that as the final tally for the vote. This kind of power far exceeds what the job was meant for... which is a secretary, not the head of state or leader of any kind. Literally just an administrator who pushes papers and handles the office. But that's somehow the person who carries the golden stamp of approval for our entire vote? There needs to be new laws to prevent this from happening again. I'm going to assume the founders didn't put this in writing because they knew there would be a mob outside of whoever would nullify their vote and would likely get lynched like the little tyrant they are.
