We have an opportunity to utilize this network to get people visible that otherwise might not be. Of course the intention of allowing promotional content does open the door to a slew of bullshit so let me be specific to what I am proposing.

Firstly, the content must be verified as a small business or independent content creator. No corporate advertising or promos period. Big business gets all the best time slots to peddle their garbage. This platform is likely more interested in helping the little guy so lets keep it that way

Secondly, promotions should only be done on one day of the week. Not sure what day as that is something the community and mods specifically decide if you all agree to this, but to keep the platform from turning into ad noise it would be best to limit promotional posts to one specific day and no more than two promo posts per user. A "promo megathread" would keep all of that stuff under lid, however it will also go ignored and the comments would just be people's promo material.

Thirdly, the content should be as SFW as possible, but within reason. We shouldn't limit content, but if your stuff contains vulgar language a disclaimer should be required. And obviously no porn. But the promo content shouldn't be limited to media either. If you have a made in the USA product or business or know someone who does we should be networking to help each other out.

To clear up, this is an idea. I have no power or pull to implement this. Do I think it should happen? Absolutely. One day of Fren promos wouldn't muddy the water too hard on the sub, but would also support our anon pals trying to make a living. Please give it some thought and any tweaks in the comments.
