Amen. He leads us to all truth, safety and blessing.
Do you know why he sometimes carries a lamb? Its because it kept straying and He broke its leg so it would not get lost and killed by wolves. By the time the leg heals, the lamb would be so attached to the shepherd, it would follow him continually and never stray again.
I am just about to plant The Shepherdess, a David Austin rose on the grave of my beautiful Robyn who died before Christmas. She was a German Shepherd; the sweetest, most affectionate, gentlest, best girl.ever. Huge blessing, loved by all, brought so much joy to so many.
...he did the same thing to Jacob...
...we lost two in 2022, I read this often....
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet
goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special
friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and
sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those
who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we
remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are
happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very
special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops
and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers.
Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs
carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you
cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses
rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look
once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but
never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

You are making me tear up: had 4 wonderful furkids, 3 long haired Alsatians and a Golden Retriever. All were special and a great blessing. People say animals can't go to heaven 'cos they don't have souls. I think heaven is all the people, things and animals we have loved, at least I hope so. After our first died my daughter said: Mum, she lived for your approval, and I thought we should live for God's approval. I try to. There is so much that grieves his heart, I hope I help to gladden His.
...there is a reason why "DOG" is "GOD" spelled backwards...
...their love and faithfulness to us is an illustration of how we are to serve God...
...your precious pup's devotion to you was fulfilling God's purpose for her, which pleased him...
...a living things, contain the "Spark of God"...
...when their (our) time is fulfilled here on this reality's plane, God recalls that spark to join him once again in Heaven...
...that is what makes God all knowing because those "sparks" bring the memories of their existence back to him...
May God bless you richly for your devotion to him....
Beautifully put, thank you. Bless you too fren, and thank you for all your wonderful posts.
