This is exactly how they continuously get away with using "Trust the science", as a marketing tool to convince normally intelligent people of the narratives they're pushing. The average citizen has not experienced conducting research and studies first hand nor would they be able to point out the severe limitations in a study such as this. They will briefly skim over it, see a bunch of scholarly terms and scientific lexicon, and will deem it completely legit and chastise anyone who disagrees with the findings presented.
