That event was a genesis for so much that can be seen as steps to revealing and fighting the DS. Maybe it was done because the white hats knew covid 19 has a very high survival rate but would accomplish their goals.

Maybe. This thought crosses my mind sometimes. Make an opportunity out of a crisis, intentional or not. Both could be possible.
