The Catholics are the only group who is officially AGAINST homosexuality. Just because a few people went against the church does NOT mean that the Catholic Church is against God. Most protestant churches either say they are ok with homosexuality or refuse to take a stance against it.
I am Catholic. Certainly not proud of the crises and everything evil that is going on. But, I separate "what" I believe in my faith from "who" the leaders of that faith are. I am fortunate to have many good priests in my diocese and parish who provide pastoral care and the sacraments. The church institution is suffering, indeed--as it should and as it deserves, for its transgressions. I hope Jesus Christ will help our church become as cleansed as the rest of the culture He is invitinng us to purify. Peace to all Christians everywhere.
Saying God left a group runs completely antithetical to what God is. Sorry pal. As antithetical to catholicism as this is, God hasn't abandoned anyone. But keep promoting your supersessionism. Really Christian of you to do that.
I understand your frustration, I am a Catholic. Our church has been hijacked by evil, plain and simple. The core tenants of our faith will remain in our hearts. The Church is in need of a mass cleaning, I feel this may be coming sooner than later.
It has been very painful, but I cannot condone it anymore..I have to walk away..I've spent a lot of time praying and He knows the situation...I am not leaving the "faith," just the brick and mortar.
If you think the Catholics are bad about the LGBT crowd... You must not have ever heard of protestants.
I believe they turned their back on God, not the other way around. Just semantics, sure…but an important one, I’d say.
Agreed..not titled well.
