Kek. That's pretty much a good summation of how I feel or think about it too. I wrote a much longer reply, including mention of numerous red flags in his diatribe (such as some you mentioned in the second-to-last paragraph above), including the absence of actual summation, the three sentences, etc., but decided that interacting on that level with the commentator would probably be counter-productive.
One of the really valuable lessons from the GA over the past 4 (5?) years has been training myself to pay attention to the different types of red flags in how people present themselves, convey (or not convey) their information etc.
I'd normally offer advice to the commentator about improving his.her approach, but such unsolicited advice is often unappreciated, regardless of intent.
At this point, I found nothing in HOW this non responded to encourage or inspire to look further. Maybe that means I'm not "genuine"?
