"Modern luxuries" were a creation of the Central Banking fiat currency system. If one country adapts it, it puts huge peer pressure on all other countries and everyone is stuck in the vice.

Remember, when the Great Awakening happens and we go back to asset backed currencies, I expect that the world will turn back at least 50 years. There wont be modern luxuries like smart phones, youtubers etc. But there wont be other things like high tech weapons and wars.
