Sure they did, but I believe that’s because they’re sloppy and dont care about taking time to confirm. Hoft is just trying to flip stories as fast as possible. But that doesn’t mean they’re trying to fool us.
I agree they are sloppy. We don't necessarily know the intentions of everyone involved, but those don't really matter as much as the end result. Fake news.
The first (and only) thing I do if I MUST click a TGP article is scroll to the bottom and click the twitter link they get it from. I don't care for their editorializing or sensationalism.
I agree, but the point of OPs post was to challenge the intentions of TGP as being purposefully deceptive to fool us. That’s very different from sloppy fake news, which they are 9 times out of 10
Both are assumptions rather than assertions so you're half correct. OP's outrage is not to be discounted even if his justification is a little off. It's valid to call out TGP for this regardless of motive.
But he's sloppy about it and ends up causing harm. I cant use TGP to red pill because more often than not, the title is misleading or it includes unsubstantiated claims as facts.
TGP were the ones who posted a misleading headline (WI would be withdrawing electors) and had to backtrack

Kept the headline, probably

Not arguing that, but that is not what OP claims. He claims it purposefully misleading to fool us
True but he did say it was just a speculation.
