You are mistaken. Read the Bible cover to cover and study it. Forget about "organized" religion for a bit. There are pros and cons for all of them.

If the universe had a beginning, which scientists mostly claim, then there had to be a cause. That cause is what we name God. His existence is not in doubt. There are further proofs.

Almost every fact in the Bible that is subject to proof has been found to be true. Please read the Bible.
