Bipolar is a horrible thing to have to live with and fight daily just to feel semi normal in life. I should know, I have it, and fight every day as well. The depressive episodes can be hopeless, the manic episodes can cause all sorts of damage to you or your personal and social life. People with bipolar are much more at risk for suicide than the typical population. It's a very sad reality that people living with this disorder suffer so much for so long that suicide looks like the best option for them. It's not enough that the guy is no longer around because he stuffered so greatly, but then you claim "no really, it's something more sinister because I feel so."
