That, and avoiding processed foods, is also great for heart health (unfortunately, I found this out possibly too late me me; I recently found that I have the heart disease that runs in my family, even though I had had no symptoms up to now, at the age of 64)
My hope is that if I can stick to the low-carb (zero carb just isn't going to happen with me :) ), low sugar, minimal to no processed food, and NO FAST FOOD, in a year, do the coronary calcium test again, and show no increase, and maybe, show a decrease (if that is possible).

It can be heavy going in places but it covers a lot of ground. Definitely worth reading to the end.
