I agree it should be looked at. Either way, we have to look at Elons actions, and as far as I'm aware, the only questionable company of his is neuralink. All of his other companies have been very beneficial for a lot of people. Neuralink is a weird one, but he doesnt want to force it on anyone. He believes the technology can work wonders with neurological conditions such as alzheimers and dementia.
Im not thoroughly convinced he's done much to benefit people...but im open to learning..and seeing your point of view...if I may share my perspective so far...I only know about his electric cars and even then Im not very into it so feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
His electric cars are not very functional in a sense that unless you're doing very limited commuting, its not very practical. Then there's the lithium mining, pollution, labor issues in the mine (all not unique to elon as many corp have similar dark sides just saying hes not doing much thats different in that sense). His cars still rely on the grid which relies on fossil fuels still predominantly, so I'm not sure how he really improved that much. Perhaps hydrogen fuel would have been a better idea?
Also, hes charging his customers an arm and a leg for updates and then updates and more updates....just doesnt really seem very "humanitarian". Now im not saying he shouldnt be making money....but for someone to buy a 50k+ car and then a year later need to update another $10k for new features? maybe ok to some folks but to me it just doesnt seem right.
Then the neuralink....well everyone always starts out by saying its "voluntary" then some "catastrophe" happens and "for the greater good" we all need to get into the matrix....kinda like the vax...
Im neutral on Elon... don't get me wrong..I don't hate him or like him..I just think the media made him out to be a much bigger deal than he is..
